My Journey

My Journey

I began helping individuals and families with finances while I was an officer in the Air Force. At that time, the biggest reason Airmen were being separated from the service was due to poor personal financial management. So, I began talking with them about budgets, debt, insurance, and the basics of investing. I realized quickly that there was a huge need for good advice in this area.

After switching to the Air Force Reserve in 2015, I finally had the opportunity to work in the financial planning world. I was able to work for some great firms here in Colorado Springs and earned my CFP® designation in 2017. It’s hard to believe, but after 20 years of service I was able to retire from the Air Force Reserve in 2023.

In addition to financial planning, I have the honor of serving The Navigators as the Director of Gift Planning. I love guiding supporters in their journey of generosity and this variety of life experiences has given me a great foundation for working with nonprofits, their employees, and the supporters who keep those organizations running.

Today, I live in Falcon, Colorado with my wife Jessica and our three amazing boys. We’re active at our local church and fully invested in the ministry of foster care. Since 2019 we have been privileged to open our home to 8 girls who have needed a refuge from life’s circumstances. In our spare time, we love being in the mountains, camping, skiing, and traveling. We’re natives of Colorado Springs, and we love this community!
